CO Domestic Partnership Bill Approaching Liberty and Justice for All
Both the Colorado State Senate and the State House passed House Bill 1344 today. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Tom Plant of Nederland, leaves it up to Colorado voters to decide whether same-sex couples:
- will get survivor benefits
- can make medical decisions for their partner
- can jointly adopt a child
Good for the General Assembly for standing up to discrimination.
