Rep. Jim Riesberg: End of Session
This was a very good session and we passed much significant legislation. In January a number of promises were made to the citizens of this state and I am proud to say that those promises were kept. We:
- expanded access to preschool and full-day kindergarten
- helped school districts recruit, train, and retain effective principals
- made college a reality for more Coloradans
- reduced the price of prescription drugs
- increased support for our community health centers
- expanded access to telemedicine
- made identity theft a felony
- established programs to fight methamphetamine abuse
- strengthened laws against sexually violent predators
- took action against illegal immigration.
We did all this while keeping faith with the voters on Referendum C and protected PERA. I will send more information as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates from Rep. Jim Riesberg of Greeley.
