Special Ed Funding Helps All Kids

Increased special ed funding directly affects every child’s education. Why? Because our schools are required to meet the needs of every special needs child, but they don’t receive funding from the feds to provide it. So when Sally needs full-time assistance to succeed at her Greeley school, the funding for that aide comes out of the per-pupil funding the school receives.

Next time you hear your representative talk about the $25 million they’re investing in special education for the next school year, remember they’re not only doing right by the special needs child, but they’re doing right for every child.

Now that’s good government.
