Beauprez & Holtzman Want to Divert Ref. C Funds
“Ideas to use Referendum C money for anything other than restoring cuts in state programs are ill-informed, ill-advised and just plain illogical, Democratic legislative leaders say,” writes Charles Ashby in today’s Pueblo Chieftain.
This, of course, is a response to the Republican gubernatorial hopefuls who released their ideas on how to (mis)spend the money voters allocated to restoring cuts in education, health care, transportation and capital construction. Interestingly, at least one of the hopefuls actively campaigned against Ref. C—the very thing that made the funds he wants to raid available.
Apparently they’re not in the “promises made, promises kept” camp.
