Pooling Prescription $ Just Makes Sense

“Colorado should enter into a multistate purchasing pool to start controlling runaway Medicaid prescription costs. The Legislature recently passed SB1 to authorize the program, and we urge Gov. Bill Owens to sign it,” wrote the Pueblo Chieftain editorial board.

House Majority Leader Alice Madden and Sen. Hagedorn addressed the issues the governor had with a similar bill last year; it’s time for Colorado to prudently purchase prescription drugs. If we don’t curb costs, the entire budget will be spent on Medicaid—at the expense of schools, roads, and other state-funded imperatives. Please send Gov. Bill Owens an email asking him to sign SB1.
