Help is on the Way
The Denver Post reports that Colorado’s at the forefront of foreclosures for the second month in a row.
Any number of factors contribute to the foreclosure rate, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that Colorado doesn’t regulate mortgage brokers or require background checks.
Rep. Val Vigil didn’t ignore it; he sponsored a bill that fixes it. Urge Gov. Bill Owens to sign HB 1161 and help protect Coloradans. Read the Post’s editorial, “Brokers oversight overdue.”
