Healthy Coloradans worth more than partisan politics
What’s next for a guy who says no to cheaper prescription drugs for the uninsured and for those with crummy insurance (SB 1)? Must have been costly, right? Wrong. It would have saved Colorado money and certainly would have improved the lives of people who can’t afford the medication their doctors prescribe.
They say the governor wants to show who has the veto pen. OK, already, we know who has the veto pen; stop wielding it so wickedly. Getting Coloradans healthy should be more important than proving a point at the end of a term.
Maybe I’ve got it all wrong. Maybe he didn’t want to prove a point. Maybe he just wanted to make sure the health of Coloradans didn’t come at the expense of pharmaceutical companies—or campaign contributions.
