New Driving Laws Save Lives
The streets and highways are likely to be crowded over this holiday, but new laws make them safer for teens (and the rest of us). From cbs4denver.com:
The new laws will require behind-the-wheel training classes for people who want their license when they turn 16 and will force minors convicted of major traffic violations to complete a driving course.

After reaching a six-year peak in 2003, the number of teen drivers killed on the road decreased by nearly one-third in 2004 and by another 50 percent in 2005.The changes have led to an increase in the maturity of teen drivers, said state Rep. Debbie Benefield, D-Arvada, a sponsor of the 2006 legislation.
